Nobby Beach is tiny by Gold Coast standards — really just a few blocks — but it's built a reputation as one of the best short café and restaurant strips on the coast, tucked between the busier Broadbeach and the quieter Miami and Mermaid Beach.
The strip
The main drag along Hedges Avenue and Nineteenth Avenue is dense with cafés, bakeries, wine bars and casual restaurants — a good midday or evening stop even if you're not staying there, and an easy detour if you're already based in Broadbeach or Mermaid Beach.
The beach
Nobby Beach's own stretch of sand is patrolled and generally quiet, backed by the exclusive beachfront houses of neighbouring Hedges Avenue — sometimes nicknamed "Millionaires' Row" for its line of high-end homes right on the dune.

Nobby Beach works best as a food stop or a quiet, small base for travellers who've already decided they want to be south of Broadbeach without going all the way to Burleigh. Accommodation options are more limited here than in the bigger suburbs.

Nobby Beach is just south of the tram network's current reach; the Broadbeach South tram stop is a short bus ride or a walkable distance for the fitter traveller. It's about a 20-minute drive from Gold Coast Airport.
