The beach

Miami's beach is patrolled and generally quiet, in keeping with the low-key residential character of the suburb — less of a destination in itself than a pleasant local beach for whoever's staying nearby.

Miami suits travellers who want to be close to Burleigh Heads and Nobby Beach's food scenes without paying Burleigh's premium, and who don't mind a slightly more residential, less walkable stretch.

Getting there

Miami sits just south of the tram network's Broadbeach South stop; buses and a short drive connect it to Burleigh Heads and Surfers Paradise. It's about a 20-minute drive from Gold Coast Airport.
